As the Innkeeper and caretaker of this historic property, Elizabeth strives to maintain the wonderful character of the mid-1800s home of Asa English while offering luxurious furnishings and stylish decor with a soft, tranquil color palette that is especially pleasing to today\’s guests. Elizabeth enjoys meeting local artists and artisans as she endeavors to create an authentic Maine seacoast ambiance throughout the Inn\’s lovely common areas, guest rooms and cottage.
A life-long New Englander and lover of the seacoast, Elizabeth has a deep familiarity with south coastal Maine. Having vacationed in nearby York Beach since the early 1990s, and having established a long-time Kennebunkport Christmas Prelude tradition with dear friends, the Innkeeper is always happy to share with her guests all of the things that she most enjoys about the Inn, Kennebunkport and the surrounding area. She loves to find creative ways to partner with local businesses to add value to the inn\’s unique guest experience. Every morning Elizabeth treats her guests to a multiple-course breakfast, freshly prepared with local ingredients and the Inn\’s own garden herbs, to get you powered and ready for a day of exploring the Kennebunks.
