The Perfect Maine Winter Getaway

Welcome to the New Year and a glorious Winter Season in Maine. This holiday season, Mother Nature brought us a bounty of fluffy snow, and outside the Inn, it looks like a bucolic scene from a Winslow Homer painting.

It is a time of true beauty here in Lower Village, Kennebunk. The gardens around the Inn have long been put to bed, and the ice covered winter berries look like frosted jewels.

It is peaceful, quiet, and absolutely lovely.

The New Year is the perfect time for us to cook our favorite comfort foods and to cozy up by the front room fire. We have been busy baking and testing new recipes, and preparing for the upcoming winter guests.

We think winter is a great time to get away to Maine.

There is so much to see and do, for both adventurous visitors, and for those who want a calm and cozy weekend getaway. We hope that you will join us this season. We have a bounty of things happening at the Inn at English Meadows and around the Kennebunks and Southern Maine. Read on for a list of some of our favorite Inn and regional activities.

Find out why a recent guest, Michaela Cotas, called us a “Simply Magical” Bed and Breakfast on Tripadvisor. We are so honored by this! Read her full review at Trip Advisor.
